Food is actually amazing value, set menus are a real saver. Sign up for emails, and from time to time youll get other offers.Staff very friendly and helpful. They seem happy to help substitute things on dishes if theres something you dont want... example Happy to swap mushy peas for a bit of salad. If you want real value for money and a cosy pub, look no further.Theres also what I would call a vibe of it being many peoples local, but you never feel its just for them either! Just feel part of the community.They have pub quizzes too!
Very cozy and friendly stuff. The food is very good and they have a huge variety! Also very good veggie menue and the prices are Decent!
This is a nice friendly pub to go to, Me and my Mum had the Salmon and King Prawn fish pie it was enjoyable but it only came with some veg on the side and wasn't quite filling enough. The orange juice was good and came with a nice slice of orange inside. I then had a Belgian chocolate brownie dessert which was really nice. It was supposed to come with chocolate sauce but they gave us caramel and when I asked the server he said they had run out of chocolate sauce so they gave us caramel instead, although the brownie with caramel was delicious they should of asked first. The staff were really friendly, quite a few choices on the menu and the prices are reasonable. I will come back again in the future.
We can have a hot coffee, but cant have a hot cup of water to warm milk for a baby. (Due to health and safety)Company policy apparently?? - far better service in the Wheatsheaf, where they allow people to have hot water to warm milk for babies... same company, very different quality.I have some sticky gravy thats so hot it will burn a hole in the floor, I think thats probably more dangerous than hot water for a baby.Such a shame.
Love the new manager who has taken over. Food is lovely and service gets better with every time we visit. Definitely knows what she is doing. Looking forward to more great times at our local pub.
