Best what you can get in Peacocks. Friendly staff and fairly good food.
Cocktails were pretty poor if you've used to professionally made one's. Two of us were eating and unfortunately our order was a bit of a disaster. Our steaks were wrong, and I had no fries, then two lots of chips, not fries arrived. My daughter's food was good, as in no mistakes and in fairness, the bill was adjusted, in our favor, but would say it comes across as a fun place to have a burger and such food. Or may be we were just unlucky.
The food here is so tasty, it's worth the price. The only shame is that the new location and setting has lost all of the character and atmosphere the previous location had. The lights are too bright and it feels like a cheap shake-shack diner rather than a luxurious cosy steak restaurant.
Had to wait for a while to be seated (there were tables available, but needed to be cleaned). They'd forgotten to replace the tables with any tissues or cutlery. Once finally seated, it took about 15 mins to take the order. And after the order, it took a long time to be served. Asked for medium, got well done. So all in all, it took more than an hour from arriving there to food being served.Not the experience I was looking for.
Had booked a specific table weeks in advanced which was given away so we where split between multiple tables. Two meals weren't eaten because they just tasted badly frozen. Was served a regular bun on a gluten free meal. Hash browns where frozen. Chips were cold. Couldn't serve cocktails for some reason & where missing half the milkshake options.It was uncomfortably loud and hot.Only redeeming quality was the fantastic service.
