By education I have a soft for the hospitality industry (studied hotel management), and with an international career I have spent hundreds of nights in hotels. Combine this with a fairly gently nature and positiveness, I always look for the good in people and their efforts. Ive written many reviews, but this is my first 1 star rating in years. This hotel is poor in so many ways. After my last visit, I told myself, do not go back. Yet I am someone of second chances....And I regret it. Two days in a row a shower with cold water. After first notification(i am not a person who complaints yet gives feedback to improve). Problem still not solved. After second mentioning, asked for a different room. (No apologies by hotel whatsoever). Staff in the restaurant who just do not know how to deal with business travelers. Telephone in restaurant rings so loud, you think you are at a construction yard. Noise isolation of rooms, below many standards. Heard two neighbours snoring. Real poor hotel. Feel sorry for many. Feel sorry for some of the kind staff. But I m done. No more. Bye.
Very good hotel with big and comfortable rooms. Iron, hairdryer, USB charger connectors, good TV and bed, big desk, chair, fridge, minibar. So i had everything i needed. They may run out of adaptors, so better to bring one with you, if your electric plugs are incompatible with the UK sockets.
A good location in the city with all amenities. I was presented with a warm cookie on arrival which was nice. Food was delicious and plenty to choose fromThe staff were great and prompt. Room was clean and well presented. Plenty of space and warm
The best service I have ever come across. The kindest staff. Big thank you to Marcus on reception Rochelle on the bar and Kelly. In fact all the team. My trip was a week and I never felt so at home in a hotel. Tip top standards in food and comfort too.
Overall a good stay! Rooms clean and tidy, if a little dated, and the bed was comfy. Staff were friendly and made an effort to make our stay comfortable. We had room service breakfast which was nice though would have been good to include sauces with the full English and butter for the toast. Very central location in Woking and only 8mins walk from Woking station.
