Friendly place good coffee cakes
Cute place, good coffee and cake.
Had the first part of my hen do here in the upstairs section. Fantastic decor & great selection of food & drinks. I ate the goats cheese panini which was filled well & arrived very hot.Others were enjoying the cakes and they organised flutes for our Prosecco. Lots of fun had in a lovely setting.Only complaint was how warm it was upstairs on a very warm day. We could have done with some fans or the shop investing in air con.
Was told by the owner she was unhappy I brought in my own lunch for my 8m old. Despite being a party of two paying adults having lunch and drinks ourselves, was told she is running a business and they sell pouches. Only two high chairs for whole premises although staff really friendly and helped when one was free. Not as child (baby) friendly as they make. We won't be back.
Myself and a lovely lady I care for visit Patches once a week if possible. Sarah and her staff are absolutely wonderful and greet us like old friends. They are very sensitive to the lady's needs and even bring her a baby doll to cuddle during our visits. The home made cake is the best ever and there is a great selection of drinks and other very reasonably-priced snacks. The cafe is tastefully decorated and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The garden is a great addition. We are so lucky to have a place like this in Surrey - it knocks spots off all the other cafes in the area and beyond.
